Welcome. My name is Jennifer Lynn and I teach Wisdom Flow Yoga on Maui. I am also author of a little Vegan Recipe book called Made with Love. This along with my Yoga DVD Flow Yoga with Jennifer Lynn are available on Amazon.com. I offer public classes on Maui, retreats on Maui and an annual Bali Yoga Retreat. My teaching style is very precise, rooted in principles of joint congruency and optimal alignment, yet playful and heart-oriented, so we remember that everything we do is an expression of love or a cry for love... at its core. Feel free to contact me with any questions. I look forward to meeting you... Namaste
wisdom flow yoga
Wisodm Flow Yoga takes the intelligence of optimal joint alignment, functional core strength and balanced rooting and reaching energies into a playful graceful flow. With intentional transitions, the uninterrupted flow from posture to posture becomes a meditative dance that is a powerful physical expression of our non-physical source: Love. We practice to understand the body more deeply and to strengthen and purify the body so the grace that swirls through us can express itself more fully and freely. Recognizing our longing to heal suffering and expand the boundries of love and joy, we use the action and alignment of our poses to express divine qualities such as kindness, gratitude, respect, unity, honesty, beauty, creativity, peace and playfulness.
Jennifer has studied with Kali Ray's TriYoga Ashram, John Friend's Anusara Yoga and Ganga White's White Lotus Flow Yoga. She has studied funtional anatomy and is a certified massage therapist. She enjoys delicately blending and braiding her teaching to offer therapeutic classes that are also deeply soothing with their meditative flow.
philosophy
The yoga sutras, Abraham Hicks, Ramtha and many other teachers remind us that reality is not coming at us... Reality is coming from us. We are creating our life experience. And together we are co-creating the flow of human evolution. Our thoughts and visions and our feelings about them create an attractive magnetism that draws people and events to us that match our vibration. As we think, so shall we be. Ayurvedic Medicine says, "If you want to know the nature of your thinking so far, look at your body." The body reflects the mind. The outer reflects the inner. If we want to change the outer world we must address the state of our inner world - heart and mind.
This is both frightening and exciting news. Frightening because it means we are responsible for changing what we don't like about our lives. No one else can do it for us. Playing the victim will not get us anywhere and does not serve the greater good. If we choose to live consciously, if we've chosen a spiritual path, we take responsibility for creating our problems and empower ourselves to be our own solution. This is the exciting part... We have unlimited potential not only to solve problems but to create realities that are beyond our wildest dreams. Yes, we can have abundance and rejuvenation, world peace, environemental harmony, unity and community so strong that we care about everyone in our neighborhood and we know they care about us. We can do anything if we put our mind to it and let the positive emotions flow through the vision.
This is challenging when our current circumstances are in contrast to where we want to be. But what is more joyful than moving ourselves through challenges to a new and better place? As Abraham Hicks says, "We want you to remember, there is nothing you cannot be do or have and we want to assist you in achieving that. But we love where you are right now even if you do not because we understand how joyful the journey (from where you are now to where you want to go) will be."
Our physical practice reminds us of our power to use our intention, our intelligence and our will power to make known the unknown. We witness ourselves doing things that once felt impossible and our confidence grows. We can touch our toes where as last year we could barely bend foreward. We can hold handstand in the middle of the room while talking to a friend and there was a time that looked like science fiction. Our physical practice encourages us to keep unfolding more expansive realities so we never forget that we are great creators. As Ramtha reminds us often, "God is not in some celestial realestate called Heaven. God is within you." How else could God unfold divine will through us if the creative power of God were not within each of us? Our practice is to fire it up and use it to create betterment. We begin with our bodies and minds.
